Milwaukee has some of the most scenic bicycle paths & trails that anyone could want. Milwaukee bicycle trails like the Oak Leaf or Hank Aaron are some of the longest and nicest bike paths that offer many stopping points of interest like: The Wisconsin State Fair Grounds, Miller Park, Menomonee River, Calatrava, Downtown Milwaukee, McKinley Marina, Discovery World, Bradford Beach, various county parks, and of course beautiful and majestic Lake Michigan.

Milwaukee Bike Collective

The Milwaukee Bicycle Collective is a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers & provides a public bicycle resource center for the city of Milwaukee. They provide an affordable bicycle work area which helps provide basic bicycle repair knowledge, affordable bicycles, and a drive to provide everyone with human powered transportation.

City of Milwaukee Bike Maps

The City of Milwaukee prints 10,000-20,000 copies of the Milwaukee by Bike map each year. They distribute them for free to all area bike shops, libraries, City Hall, County Parks, etc.. The map covers Milwaukee County and shows all the on-street bike routes, striped bike lanes, and off-street trails. It also lists the Milwaukee streets preferred by area bicyclists, but without any special accomodation for cylists.

Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin

The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin is a statewide, nonprofit organization trying to inspire, motivate and unite a strong community of civic, business and political leaders, motorists and bicyclists to move bicycling forward.
The Bike Fed has a vision of Wisconsin as one of the world’s best places to ride a bike where millions of residents and visitors of all backgrounds choose bicycling as an integral and convenient part of their daily life.

Hank Aaron State Trail & Bike Path

The Hank Aaron State Trail is ideal for bicyclists, walkers, runners, and skaters, and currently provides a 10-mile continuous connection via dedicated trails and marked streets between the lakefront and Milwaukee's west end. The Hank Aaron State Trail runs along the Menomonee River and through a former industrial valley while contributing countless opportunities for recreation and fitness, improvements to the environment, economic growth, and overall quality of urban life.
